Happy Birthday Mason

So anyways I am way behind in my blog so I am going to try to catch up. November 15th was Mason's 3rd Birthday and we had a big party. Even Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Megan and Cousin Soloman drove for the big event. We had a birthday party on Saturday and invited all of his friends. He had a lot of fun but probably the biggest surprise was the gift that Grandpa and Grandma brought. A red big boy bike. He was so excited and still loves riding it. Today I let him bring it into the house because if has be snowy for the last week and he misses riding it.

Our First House :-)

We are currently in the process of buying our first house. We are so excited as it has been a long time coming. We are totally sick of renting and are ready to invest in our own property. The house is a 4 bedroom 2 bath and it has all just fallen into place so nicely. We cannot deny Heavenly Fathers hand in it. Here are some pictures of our new home.

Salt Lake City

Last week we spent in SLC. Monroe had meetings and the kids and I had fun on the town. We went to the Aquarium, my sisters Megan's, Ikea, Thanksgiving Point, Temple Square, and of course shopping. The kids held up really well and I think that we all had lots of fun. Two days after we got back Mason asked to go back to the hotel, so he must of had fun. I was a little nervous about going and spending the days with just me and the kids going around SLC but like I said they were so good. Anyways here are some pictures of our week.

Messy Girl

My life has all of the sudden become extremely busy. A few other moms and I have started a Preschool for our three year old children and I am helping with the weekly Music Makers Group. We also are looking for our first house to buy. What a stressful experience. It is exciting but sure takes a lot of thought. So here is a short update on the kids.

So Madelyn is starting to eat really well; however, it tend to be extremely messy. I really think that she gets a lot messier than Mason ever did. Everytime that I feed her it takes a bath to get her clean. So here are some pictures of the happy messy little girl.

Here is My hadsome boy Mason.

Our Little Cabin

So we for the past year and a half have been renting a little two bedroom cabin on a horse ranch. We had only intended on living there for a few months until we could buy a house but is has turned into almost two years. I think part of the problem is that we really love living where we do. We are out in the country which is close that dear to our hearts and the market around Grand Junction in crazy unlike most of the country. Upon moving here and trying to get a loan learned that to get a loan with out a good sized down payment for self employed people is impossible. So we will just wait until two years hit and we feel right about a house.
So anyways my mom asked me months ago to get some pictures up of our house and yard because we put in a lawn, garden, deck, fence, and are in the process of panting the outside. We have a tendency of fixing up places that we rent and then moving. Anyways we have really enjoyed it this summer and you never know we probably will be here another summer to enjoy it also. So mom here are some pictures for you and whoever else wants to enjoy them.

Swimming is so fun!!!!

For the last couple of months I have been taking my children to the Pool every Wednesday which is "Free" Day so all children are free. I have been determined to get Mason more comfortable in the water. After a few sunburns (all which occur ed on me) it finally worked, thanks to my good friend Teddy and her girls and Brooke and her little boy Hunter. After seeing them in the water playing Mason could hardly resist and decided to join them. Now I am wondering if I have started something bad. I can now hardly get Mason out of the water. Which worries me because not more than 200 feet from our house is a pretty good size pond. I will just have to watch him like a hawk. Madelyn is also getting more comfortable with the splashing and noise that seems to constantly happen from the hundreds of other kids in the pool. Here are a few pictures of Mason and his friend Hunter in the pool, and Madelyn catching a few rays.

Welcome to Blogging

Ok! It seems that everybody I know has a blog so I thought that I would try my hand at it. I have been reluctant to start one because of the easy access it leaves to the world to my family; however, I guess I will take my chances. We will see if I can figure out how to get some pictures on but I don't promise anything.
Yahhhhh, I did it!

These are our beautiful children Mason and Madelyn. Pictures courtesy of my friend Jennifer Berry. Mason in 2 1/2 and Madelyn is 6 months. Hopefully I can keep up on our blog with them.
