Spudman Here I Come!

I just signed up for the Spudman which is July 27th in Burley Idaho where a lot of my relatives are from.  It will be a fun and challenging experience but I am a happier person with a challenge.  Training here I come!

Grandparents!

Grandma Whipple

My Grandmother Whipple suffered from a stroke in February and passed the next day while wintering in Arizona.   It was very sudden and a shock to everyone and was harder for me to process than my Grandfathers death probably because I had no time to prepare for it.

My Grandmother was always so loving and non-judgmental.  She was the one that would always talk about and ask about you because she was truly interested.  She found so much joy in her family and ad mist her frail condition in her later years you would find her on the floor playing with her great grand kids or holding them.

My grandmother had a talent for cooking and baking.  She would make the most delicious meals and deserts and we would always look forward to eating her amazing food.  My husband loved her friend chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy,  I loved her spaghetti, and my kids loved the her potatoes and home canned corn.

I never heard my grandma a grandpa speak an ill word to or about each other.  You could always feel the love and respect that they had for each other.

She was and still if a wonderful example to me and I hope that I can show her love and respect to others.  I miss you Grandma!
